    Handling of personal information

    Ocean Tourism Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "the Company") hereby sets forth the following Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as "this Policy") regarding the handling of users’ personal information in the services provided on this website (hereinafter referred to as "the Services").

    Article 1 (Personal Information)

    2. Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph, the following cases shall not be considered as third-party provision:

      2. When personal information is provided in connection with the succession of business due to a merger or other reasons
      3. When personal information is jointly used with a specific party and the user is notified or can easily find out in advance the items of personal information to be jointly used, the scope of joint users, the purpose of use, and the name of the person responsible for managing the information

    Article 6 (Disclosure of Personal Information)

    1. When requested by the individual to disclose their personal information, the Company shall disclose it to the individual without delay. However, if disclosure falls under any of the following, the Company may withhold all or part of the information and will notify the user without delay if a non-disclosure decision is made. A fee of 1,000 yen per request will be charged for disclosure.

      3. If it would violate other laws and regulations

    Article 7 (Correction and Deletion of Personal Information)

    1. Users may request the Company to correct, add, or delete (hereinafter referred to as "Corrections, etc.") their own personal information held by the Company if it is incorrect, according to the procedures prescribed by the Company.
    2. If the Company deems it necessary to respond to such requests, it shall make the Corrections, etc. without delay.
    3. If the Company makes Corrections, etc. or decides not to do so, it shall notify the user without delay.

    Article 8 (Suspension of Use of Personal Information)

    1. If the individual requests the suspension or deletion (hereinafter referred to as "Suspension, etc.") of the use of their personal information on the grounds that it is being handled beyond the scope of the purpose of use or was obtained by improper means, the Company shall conduct the necessary investigation without delay.
    2. If it is determined that the request is valid based on the results of the investigation, the Company shall carry out the Suspension, etc. without delay.
    3. The Company shall notify the user without delay if it decides to implement or not implement the Suspension, etc. based on the preceding paragraph.
    4. Notwithstanding the preceding two paragraphs, if Suspension, etc. involves a large expense or is otherwise difficult to implement, and if alternative measures can be taken to protect the rights and interests of the user, the Company shall take such alternative measures.

    Article 9 (Changes to Privacy Policy)

    1. Except as otherwise specified by law or this Policy, the contents of this Policy may be changed without notifying users.
    2. Unless otherwise specified by the Company, the revised Privacy Policy shall take effect from the time it is posted on this website.
