16-Country Miyako Investigation Delegation Gathers in Japan to Promote Regional Cooperation and Cultural Exchange

Daily life on the cruise and fun information・MICEAn international investigation delegation composed of representatives from 16 countries arrived in Miyako Island, Okinawa Prefecture, Japan, to begin a one-day investigation and exchange activity. The delegation, consisting of approximately 40 members, included government officials, experts, scholars, business representatives, and cultural figures. The aim of the visit was to gain an in-depth understanding of Miyako Island’s experiences and practices in sustainable development, tourism, marine economy, and cultural heritage protection, as well as to explore future cooperation opportunities.
Cultural exchange was also an important part of this investigation. Delegation members experienced Miyako Island’s traditional music and dance, sampled local specialty foods, and immersed themselves in the rich cultural ambiance of Ryukyu traditions.
